Teenage Cancer Trust
I was asked to shoot the The Teenage Cancer Trust’s first campaign after their re-brand. The series of ads was based on interviews and anecdotes from some of the courageous young patients at University College Hospital London. I wanted mainly to show the young folk going about their business rather than focus on the affects of their condition.
I then spent the day at St George’s Park, The FA’s fantastic training facility in Staffordshire with some teenage cancer patients from the midlands – and the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Raheem Sterling, Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, Jack Wilshire, Jermain Defoe, Theo Walcott, Steven Gerrard and James Milner. The players were fantastic – chatting, signing things and letting the youngsters take penalty kicks – showing how supportive England and the FA are.
